In a significant move following the Supreme Court’s directive, the West Bengal School Service Commission (SSC) is set to release a list of candidates deemed ‘unfit’ for Group C and Group D positions. According to sources from the Education Department, the commission plans to publish details of approximately 3,400 candidates, a development that has grabbed the attention of thousands of job aspirants in the state.
Reason Behind SSC’s Decision
The decision comes in light of information submitted to the court regarding recruitment irregularities. By making this list public, the commission aims to maintain transparency in the recruitment process and prevent potential issues in future hiring.
How Many Candidates Are on the List?
Based on the data presented by the commission in court, the number of candidates marked as ‘unfit’ is significant. The breakdown is as follows:
- Group D: Around 2,300 candidates have been declared unfit.
- Group C: Approximately 1,100 candidates are included in this list.
In total, around 3,400 candidates from both groups will have their names published in the upcoming SSC ‘tainted’ list.
